East Lancs NHS PCT
Our first campaign for the NHS, this project involved a two burst campaign, in Spring and late summer. We were asked to reach a local audience in the East Lancashire Primary Care Trust area to communicate the dangers of alcohol abuse and create awareness surrounding Coronary Heart Disease.
We used regional press for display advertising, inserts and door drops to reach a large local audience. Local radio was able to reach an audience at home and on the move, alongside 6 and 48 sheet sites in urban and rural areas. Bus media extended the reach to those using public transport and drivers. Especially effective for reaching the alcohol abuse audience are the washroom panels in busy town centre bars, with both female and male creative work targeting those out on a weekend evening.
Finally we took advantage of the avid support network for both Burnley FC and Accrington Stanley FC, appearing on their groundboards, 6 sheets, big screen TV and programmes, combining both alcohol and CHD audiences. This campaign has been very visible, integrating within the community alongside relevant editorial in local news, to create a strong awareness of the issues raised.
